Hey guys! Yay, 2nd post of the year! I hope 2015 is treating you well so far! Today, I’m sharing an eye embellished sweater. Is it just me or are there eyes everywhere right now?! I’m obsessed. A little crazy, but a lot of fun.

I used the flashback skinny tee by Made by Rae for the pattern. I needed to size it up so it would fit like a sweater as opposed to a skinny tee. SO I made it in a size 7/8…it’s still sinking in that Ava can fit in that size. She’s FOUR!!! I’m feeling a bit bittersweet about this whole growing up thing. She’ll be five next month. Craziness. Anyway, the sleeves ended up being a touch long, so we decided to roll them up. It worked pretty well visually because the underside of the fabric is black. Speaking of the fabric, I used a white quilted knit from Blackbird Fabric. It’s so lush. Super comfy, I highly recommend.

Now for the embellishments. I used some faceted gems and some pearl beads. Pretty straight forward. Ava was actually pretty excited about it though…the girl loves anything sparkly, glittery or pink. It seemed to fit the bill :). We paired the sweater with some Joe’s jeans and these glorious sunset Vans. I LOVE these shoes. So fun.
